The Christmas Tree Risk Analysis Tool (CTRAT) is a Microsoft Excel-based decision support tool used to analyze risk management decisions commonly faced by growers. 

 

The CTRAT combines an enterprise budget with “what-if” scenario capabilities.  Growers can estimate, analyze, and understand the costs, benefits, and effects of implementing various cultural and/or management practices. 

 

This improved understanding is especially important considering Christmas trees’ unique, multi-year growing cycle. 

 

The CTRAT was developed by our team of Christmas tree production experts (led by Dr. Mel Koelling) and risk management analysts.
